It has since expanded to become an extremely busy Small Animal Hospital and has received recognition from the Veterinary Council of Ireland as a registered Small Animal Hospital. During the last number of years it has been a registered centre for veterinary nurses training with The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, London and University College, Dublin. A major extension and renovation of the premises provided BVC with a state-of-the art hospital equipped with facilities to care for over 50 in-patients at any one time with dedicated Isolation, Intensive Care, Medical, Surgical and Anaesthetic Recovery units.
