Heat pumps can be used as a standalone plant item or ideally can be used in conjunction with a solar thermal installation. Our heat pumps are Swiss made and have been successfully produced and implemented for over 25 years. They range in size from 3-130kW and feature a coefficient of performance (COP) of 4.7.
The KOMBISOL is a solar assisted heat pump system and can provide complete independence from fossil fuels. The underlying principle of the system is simple: plastic pipes are laid in the ground surrounding the building. A compressor is then used in a vapour compression cycle to extract heat from the soil (similar to your household refrigerator). This system is then supplemented by a solar thermal installation.
Excess energy from the solar system can be stored in the ground in summer months. The earth itself then acts as a thermal battery. In winter, at low temperatures the solar system provides optimal support to the heat pump. This leads to an almost 100% efficiency in the collectors.
But KOMBISOL is not only suitable for new buildings. It can of course be fitted retrospectively during renovation works or rebuilds. Oil and gas bills can be a thing of the past!
