The last date for guaranteed Christmas Delivery of Special Order pedal bikes has now passed.

Pedal Bikes in stock: At the moment  we have a z8 Red for immediate delivery.

Due to demand, we now offer a range of 12", 16" and 18" Puky pedal bikes for SPECIAL ORDER. We don't carry them in stock and they will take between 2 and 5 weeks to get to you. This is reflected in the price. These bikes, like all our bikes, require some small self-assembly and we do recommend you have them checked over by your bike shop to ensure you have adjusted the brakes correctly etc.

Puky Pedal Bikes are  synonymous with quality, good design and durability. They have a low-step through for ease of access for children and come with a host of saftey features ae well as a bell, carrier and mud guards as standard. They are available in wither Steel Frame ( The "Z" series) or aluminium (ZL).They also have the "Dutch" brakes (brakes on the pedals).

Which size Pedal Bike (without stabilisers)?
When measuring for a Pedal Bike note that there are two measurements to keep in mind. Each bike gives a minimum height and leg length. This is the length leg your child will need to move the pedals comfortably.Note the height to the ground is more (see the diagram for each bike). It's advisable to get a bike for which your child can hope to reach the ground to steady themselves (if they're not going to be using stabilisers, which they won't if they've had a balance bike). So for example if your child has a leg length of 45cm you have two choices

  • get something with a leg length a few cms lower - such as ZL16 with recommended leg length 42 cm but seat height of 50cm. With this height they can pedal comfortably and just about touch the ground - this is what we would recommend.
  • get something with a matching minimum leg length (like the ZL18 ALluminium) knowing however that the seat height means that they may have difficulty touching the ground to steady themselves. It's possible when mobile they will manage it but will probably have far more falls along the way. Some people want this to get more out of the bike but it can put a child off.
