Having greatly enjoyed Thurston’s previous visits to these shores, tonight’s experience felt a little like “Sonic Youth Unplugged”. The Olympia Theatre was heaving when Californian indie pop sensation Foster the People played their sell-out show on 28 November. The Buzz Aldrin Allstars are a collection of like-minded musicians looking to keep the kraut rock tradition alive.

The Olympia Theatre was heaving when Californian indie pop sensation Foster the People played their sell-out show on 28 November. With performances like this, there’s no doubt that Ryan Sheridan will remain a permanent fixture in the Irish music scene.
