New Home Environmental Legislation

Did you know that all new homes have to have a Renewable source of Energy of some sort after the 1st  of July 2008. The new Legislation states that anyone looking for Planning Permission after the above date must have either, a Wood Pellet Boiler, or a Solar Panel hot water system, or Geothermal heat pump as part of their planning.

For the people applying in an urban setting Solar Panels will be the easy option as this will require less space and the requirement of a bulk store for 3 to 4 tonnes of pellets and access for a bulk blower lorry can cause problems.For the full detail on the new Legislation see:
