  1. Dig out your diving certification (or order replacements from the agency that conferred them on you). Photocopy these too. I need to see the originals before I can sign your application form, and the photocopies will go to CFT headquarters.
  2. Money: you’ll need to pay your club and membership fees (€100 for students) and buy a CFT logbook (€35). You’ll also need to get a bank draft for €30 made out to ‘Comhairle Fó-Thuinn’.

Admittedly, it’s not the simplest set of hoops you’ll ever have to jump through, but it’s still fairly pain-free, and it’s worth getting it done as soon as possible. (I speak from bitter experience.)
