What participants said about Thomas’ courses and facilitation style:

‘I found that the strategies and suggestions we discussed have helped me to communicate better, both at work and in my voluntary community commitments. I would highly recommend Thomas’ course to anyone who wishes to improve their personal or public communication style, or anyone who wishes to become a more effective group leader’ Anna Ridgeway, B.A., M.Ed., PhD, HDE, Adv.Dip.Mont.Educ.

‘Thomas Riedmuller is clearly a gifted teacher and communicator. His lectures are highly organised. The Hollies - team building services

Activities can be outdoors and indoors, include real team challenges such as building structures with natural materials, plant trees, create ponds, play cooperative games. The aim is always to improve cohesiveness, team spirit, communication and general social skills and have fun in the process.

The Hollies - open space technology

The theme is restated and briefly explained, perhaps a short story of how we got here, with the reminder that everyone you now see in the circle is here because they care about some aspect of this theme — and have chosen to be here, to learn from and contribute to the work at hand.

The Hollies - consensus decision making

To practise the art of facilitation, one needs patience, stamina, the ability to remain calm in the face of conflict, a good memory, a sense of humour and genuine love for the group which he or she is serving. When ‘leaders’ fail to provide information, clear direction or good process, whether out of fear of appearing too controlling or sheer incompetence, they sabotage consensus.
