How Does The Planning Health Check Service Work?
Senior personnel would be available at competitive hourly rates to provide you and/or your client with project specific town planning advice in order to give your development project the most realistic chance of achieving planning permission. The arrangement is totally flexible in that it can be adjusted on a case-by-case basis to reflect the requirements of you and/or your client.
It could be as simple as attending a meeting and offering our opinion, or may involve lengthier engagement that would require us to review material in advance of providing any advice.
At What Stage Of The Project Would A Planning Heath Check Be Advisable?
We believe that the right time to engage with a town planning consultant is at the very outset of the project. Wherever in the process you become involved is the right time to engage so as to ensure that the project or asset is founded on a sound town planning basis.
1. Asset Management
You may be doing work for NAMA, Receivers, Banks or landowners who could have multiple case files with you. We would argue that a strategic town planning overview would provide an essential tool to determining which projects/assets are worth pursing and in what sequence.
In order to best advise your clients as to how to manage their assets, you need first to understand the asset itself.
Having a town planning overview of the assets involved is a critical step in this process.
Where you have more than one asset/project in hand we can provide a Planning Health Check in the form of a strategic town planning overview which will score the assets/sites under a series of town planning criteria. This will provide you with a clear indication in town planning terms of which sites/assets are best placed and which inherent difficulties are likely to arise.
2. Strategic Site Appraisal
Alternatively a decision may already have been made determining which files/assets are to be acted upon following other means of assessment. You may wish to then obtain strategic advice regarding the likely issues to be addressed for those specific assets.
