Misys Sophis has in-depth experience of managing large and/or complex IT projects in partnership with clients. It always assigns a dedicated project manager to each implementation or upgrade project. It then provides an implementation or upgrade plan, including a detailed explanation and timeline for every task in the project, to each client.

Misys Sophis provides a constant flow of progress updates to clients during the entire project life cycle.

These take the form of:

  • updated project plan weekly conference calls

  • face to face meetings and a post implementation/upgrade meeting

Post implementation issue follow-ups are done by the same team and project managers who were involved in the implementation or upgrade to ensure understanding and quick resolution of any problems that have arisen.

Implementation and upgrade projects

Depending on the structure of a project, a team of highly skilled Misys Sophis consultants can either work side by side with external consulting companies or work directly with customers.

Consultants are available with skills and experience in the areas of front office, back office and software engineering. Toolkit consultants can support application customisation and interfacing.

Consultants can develop software on behalf of the client or provide support to clients’ own development projects. The assigned team can quickly shape the project based on the business requirements laid out by the client. Misys Sophis then aims to deliver as short an implementation period as possible.

It follows market trends by constantly developing standardised procedures to minimise every implementation period. For example, Misys Sophis is fully compliant with the 4.2 FIX protocol to link to execution systems and uses XML/FPML for all financial products and asset classes to link with other systems.

User Desk | Web-Based Support

Sophis Userdesk is a web based helpdesk platform that provides Sophis users with a console to generate requests to Sophis consultants when they need support on Sophis software. A view of the request’s progress that can be shared between the client and Misys Sophis, with a clear history of the messages posted in the system. The support desk is a single point of contact for Sophis users who need help.
