Metal Stud Partitions
Metal Stud Partitioning is an economical system used for the assembly of metal frames for non-loadbearing partitons. The design of the partitions ensures high strength and easy installation methods and are suitable for domestic and comercial use. The systems are lightweight, versatile, cost effective and are able to achieve high levels of acoustic insulation, thermal insulation and fire resistance.

Sidney McElhinney’s are renowned for installing high quality glazed partitions. We are experienced installers of both aluminium and hardwood glazed partitions. In our office we have a wide range of glazed partitions. Clients are more than welcome to come to our office and view these partitions. Our qualified staff will clearly explain the features of each type of glazed partition. We aluminium partitions we commonly use are DEKO glazed partitions which are manufactured in Denmark.
The hardwood framed glazed partitions we commonly use are Tenon partitions. A popular type of hardwood Tenon partition which can be viewed here at our office is the “Scion”
Scion is manufactured from solid timber using a range of sustainable hardwood and is ideal for board rooms and executive areas while also offering a practical and durable solution for general office areas.
Simple to install and available in both single and double glazed formats, the system may also be fitted with silicone glazing and Venitian blinds.
Scion is available in the following range of standard timbers:
Ash, Beech, Cherry, Maple, Oak; other types of timber available.
Scion has been comprehensively tested and assessed over a number of years and offers 60-minute fire-resistance to BS 476 part 2.
Scion offers an acoustic performance up to 52dB.
Scion can be erected to a height of up 3300mm
