As a patient-led charity, we at Fighting Blindness work hard to ensure your needs as a member are at the forefront of all our activities. We are therefore delighted to invite you to the first Public Engagement Day dedicated to patient education and empowerment at the Fighting Blindness Retina 2011 Conference.
Fighting Blindness hosts the annual Retina conference to bring together top international and Irish figures in the global effort to find treatments and cures for blindness. This is a leading conference on the scientific calendar and we’re delighted this year to extend the conference to allow for patients, members and the public to hear the latest news in this area.
We would like to invite you to attend the Retina 2011 Public Engagement Day
- Date: Saturday November 12, 2011
- Time: 9:30am – 3:30pm
- Location: The Science Gallery, Trinity College, Pearse Street Dublin 2
Designed especially for the public and people affected by sight loss, the event includes presentations from leading scientists, a lecture on pharmaceutical developments in ophthalmology, and a seminar on patient education and empowerment that will provide information on regulatory affairs in Ireland, access to treatment and the importance of patient involvement in research.
It is our hope that the Public Engagement Day is a rewarding experience for you and we look forward to meeting you there.
