Communication projects for young people require more care
Student and youth events have many more elements and are far more complex than adult events. Working with young people and liaising with schools and colleges is our specialty.
We have dealt with over 700,000 students at primary, secondary and third level, and we have involved over 250,000 young adults in competitions and campaigns nationwide. Real Events Managing Director Aidíne O’Reilly (BA, H.Dip, M.Ed) is an experienced former teacher and manages the youth division of the company. She leads all aspects of policy creation and risk assessment for each project and event.
An overview of how we work
We conceptualise fun, innovative opportunities for students and young people to engage with your organisation’s message, learn new skills or information, and enjoy new social interaction.
We develop and deliver high profile, nation-wide campaigns and programmes, designed to appeal to the hearts and minds of young people while boosting the recognition and equity of your organisation with the wider public and the media.
Your campaign makes a strong connection through live and interactive experiences, striking an emotional chord with young consumers, and developing a long lasting relationship.
Why Educational Sponsorships & Campaigns?
Just like good teaching, an effective youth campaign involves participants: asks questions, stimulates interest with hands-on activity, and submerges the audience in the experience. Young people are bombarded with thousands of marketing and educational messages every day, all competing for their attention. By communicating with young people through their interests in their environment, your organisation can cut through the noise and make a deeper, more lasting connection. Youth events give you the opportunity to introduce or reinforce your message within a powerful, emotionally engaging interactive experience. Effective campaigns can be created on whichever sponsorship platform provides the best
context and story for your product: for example music, art, sports, media studies or science & environment. By choosing a platform that integrates into the curriculum not only will your programme connect with the lifestyle of young people but you will be providing valuable learning opportunities and educational resources for schools.
Real Events campaigns are designed to maximise publicity opportunities. We actively reach out to the youth market and wider public before, during and after your campaign, using many parallel strategies. From initiating word of mouth, viral campaigns and online marketing, to working in partnership with school and college representatives and some of Ireland’s biggest and best PR companies.
The ABC approach to educational sponsorships. It’s all About Being Connected.
Due to the special nature of working with students, it is vital that we have specific knowledge and that we are completely up to date with current regulations, curricular trends, mandated educational priorities and child protection legislation. By working with youth and schools every day, and as members of Teacher’s Unions and Associations, the Real Events team are always up to date with educational developments. In addition, Real Events frequently consult with and are endorsed by a trusted network of educational professionals and organisations.
Real Events’ campaigns are first and foremost student-centred, and we:
- Ensure that projects implemented in schools are worthwhile and educationally beneficial.
- Guarantee stringent procedures are in place regarding health & safety, child protection policies, crew to student ratio, data protection, photo consent etc.
- Always use experienced and referenced personnel. All Real Events employees are Garda-vetted, trained in first aid and child protection policies.
- Make each project and event as memorable, interactive and special as possible for all involved.
Delivering quantifiable results
An innovative youth sponsorship campaign starts with a winning creative idea, which provides a platform to develop your project. However creating a truly successful campaign involves turning this idea into an exciting, professionally-run event, which delivers measurable results. We have over ten years experience in managing campaign and event logistics, crewing, PR, research and evaluations and promotion.
