50th International Eucharistic Congress 2012 (IEC2012)


The 50th International Eucharistic Congress 2012 (IEC2012) will take place in Dublin from 10th to 17th June 2012. Volunteers will have an integral role to play in the success of the Congress. Between two and three thousand volunteers will be needed during the week of the Congress and also to assist in preparations in the months leading up to the Congress. The Congress is now recruiting volunteers for a wide range of roles such as administration, data entry, stewards, marketing, transport, meet & greet, multimedia, pastoral preparation and much more! If you would like to get involved please visit the IEC2012 website  and fill out an online application or request an application form from the Congress office. St. Mary’s Cathedral

A special mass in St Mary’s Cathedral on Sunday 13th November at 3pm at which the Diocesan Banner will be blessed.   All people and especially choirs are invited at attend.   Fr Liam Lawton will give a workshop from 1pm.

Evening Prayer

An evening of prayer to pray for vocations will take place in St. Fiacre’s Church at 7.30pm on Thursday, 10th November 2011.  Fr. Dan will lead us in a Holy Hour of Adoration, the Rosary and Holy Mass.  A cup of tea will be served in the Parish Centre.  All are welcome.

Youth 2000 Retreat – Waterford

Youth 2000 will host a retreat in De La Salle College, Waterford, 4th – 6th November.  This is a donation only event for people aged 16 – 35 years, with newcomers welcome.  The weekend will consist of a programme of youth Masses, talks, music etc.
