OLM Consultancy provides comprehensive health and safety consultancy services across a broad range of industries including both public and private sectors.
Safety Officer Services:
OLM can provide the services of a competent person (experience, training and knowledge) to ensure the safety, health and welfare of one's employees. This can be achieved on a once off basis or OLM can be consulted on a retainer basis. Services include safety statements, risk assessments, safety management programmes, safe operating procedures (SOP's), employee safety handbooks, accident investigations/assessments, emergency evacuation procedures and workplace ergonomics assessments. OLM also provides manual handling training.
OLM can act as the Project Supervisor for Design by co-ordinating the activities of all designers engaged in work related to the design of the project. We can also act on behalf of the Project Supervisor for Construction by co-ordinating the health and safety on site and producing necessary documents such as the Developed Safety and Health Plan and the Safety File. Particular health and safety expertise is concerned with the design, construction and maintenance of in-use of buildings. We can successfully deal with problems within congested sites or adjacent to operational businesses and residences. OLM has extensive experience in ensuring that the design, construction, maintenance are assessed in complex technical, legal, regulatory and operational environments. As an example, we have acted on behalf of An Post in relation to the integrated Safety Management of all aspects of the redevelopment and extension of the Dublin and Portlaoise mail centres.
Co-Ordination of Health & Safety
Our duties have allowed us to:- Integrate construction, maintenance and operational health and safety requirements; liaise and correspond with European and worldwide suppliers and installers; advise on contractual responsibilities; provide guidance on managing the interface between construction and occupational health and safety issues; liaise with Trade Unions; Coordinate and standardise documentation and procedures amongst client, suppliers and installers, contractors and managers to ensure a consistent and appropriate methodology; audit and advice on site and premises site safety management regimes.
