Melissa Dream™ contains all natural ingredients such as the herbs lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) and chamomile in combination with selected B Vitamins, magnesium and the amino acid l-theanine.

As far back as the 12th century lemon balm was described as a powerful relaxant by Hildegard of Bingen. It contains terpenes (usually part of tree resin) which have been attributed with its sedative effects. Lemon balm works synergistically with Chamomile to promote sound sleep and reduces disturbance.

Chamomile is a traditional remedy for nervous conditions. Taken during the day it helps to calm and reduce stress levels, whilst taken at night it helps to induce calm and sleep. It is well known for its use in teas.

L-theanine is an amino acid (part of proteins) that creates a sense of calm and relaxation within 30-40 minutes of taking. L-theanine stimulates creation of alpha waves in the brain, causing relaxation and more alertness. It also stimulates the production of GABA, leading to more serotonin and dopamine, both key relaxation agents.


Magnesium is an important mineral for the relaxation of muscles and nerves and relieves leg cramps. Many people with sleep problems suffer from “restless legs”, which can be relieved with magnesium.

B-Vitamins are well known for their calming properties. They are a group of vitamins that affect neurotransmitters in the brain to help relieve stress, anxiety and depression. Lack of B-vitamins contribute to mood and sleep disturbances. As B-Vitamins can be taken in food and as supplements, but also be made in the gut, it is important to maintain a healthy intestinal flora to ensure proper B-Vitamin supply.

L-theanine: 67 mg

Chamomile (flower) [5:1]: 100 mg

Vitamin B1: 0,48 mg

Vitamin B2: 0,55 mg

Vitamin B3 (nicotinamide): 6 mg

Vitamin B6: 0,68 mg

Vitamin B12: 330 mg

Magnesium: 100 mg

SUGGESTED D OSAGE

For enhancing sound and deep sleep, take 2-3 tablets one hour before bedtime. After two weeks, you may reduce to 2 tablets before bedtime. For promoting relaxation, take one Melissa Dream™ tablet when needed during the day, this will give you a sense of calmness without making you drowsy.
