The degree and intensity of conservation depends on the clients wishes. We approach all projects with the aim to leave the piece in a condition which stops further degradation of any form. Retaining original material, patina and signs of honourable distress and age are key when choosing our conservation processes. We believe that retaining the pieces integrity and age is as important as the piece itself.
Again, like the conservation, the degree of restoration depends on the clients wishes. Restoration work is carried out with the aim for repairs to be as flawless as possible. We believe repairs should not be hidden, however, they certainly should not be obvious. This not only takes away from the overall feeling of quality but also completely ruins the asthetics and value of the piece.
