Solstice Arts Centre, Railway Street, Navan, Co Meath

‘This body of work analyses and explores the architecture and concept of the house and home. It manifests from language, theory and signage attained to its form. The intention being to present the relationship we build with and within the architecture of the house. My practice exists of small to medium scale, painted installations. It combines elements of both sculpture and painting’.

Exhibition continues until Thursday 22nd December.

Solstice Gallery Opening Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 11am – 4pm. Admission Free.

Meetings | Meath Arts Group

Solstice Arts Festival Navan 21st – 26th June 2011As part of the first Solstice Arts Festival Meath Arts Group will be holding a group exhibition in Navan Library, organising an Arts Trail and taking part in various other arty events around the town. On completion all 30 canvasses will be brought together and arranged in order to present one large final image from all the separate segments in a specially designed pre-made frame.


Classes/Workshops | Meath Arts Group

The aim of the series is to: create a platform for artists, curators and arts professionals to talk about their work; create opportunities for peer-to-peer networking and information sharing and to provide a relaxed setting in which Visual Artists Ireland can regularly meet our members and other visual arts professionals. We have recently initiated the Common Room Lunch Time Talks series. Call for expressions of interest.

As a non-profit organisation encouraging integration and cultural understanding the IPS is also very pleased to be talking part in the Dublin City Council’s Office for Integration ‘One City One People’ Campaign running across the city.


Festivals | Meath Arts Group

Throughout the festival week, a number of local community groups including Meath Arts Group, Navan Rehabcare, Tain Daycare, Kells & Dunshaughlin Mental Healthcentres, Bri Meath & Louth, Youthreach Progression, and Navan Active Retirement Group together present an Art Trail in the town, exploring the theme of Enlightenment.
