Traditional Recipe, Shortcrust Pastry
Our award winning buttermilk shortcrust pastry is hand made with real Irish
buttermilk to a traditional recipe which has been passed down through our family
for generations. It’s this unique sweet shortcrust taste which gives our pastries
an edge over other pastries. A selection of tarts and pies are made and supplied
frozen unbaked allowing customers the convenience and control to “bake off” as
required. We use only 100% fresh fruit fillings; that's the taste difference.
Master craft bakers who have worked in Mannings Bakery since the days of Fresh Batch
bread delivered daily, use their skill and expertise to make traditional breads
which can be part-baked or “Thaw & Served” thus catering for modern logistics
to central distribution centres for the major multiples or food service companies.
This allows our supermarket customers to provide their customers with fresh bread
on a 24/7 x 365 basis; adapting to the modern retailing world.
Supplying other bakeries and ISB’s (In-Store Bakeries) is an integral part of
our business. With the high retail rents today, many food professionals are keen to reduce their work load and increase efficiencies
