BLS/CPR & AED Training

The use of AEDs in resuscitation has become widely accepted and greatly increases the patients chances of survival. This course also covers the priciples of resuscitation in adults and children. Course content includes risk factors, heart disease, CPR, obstructed airway techniques, AED use, safety aspects, dealing with stress. You will also learn what to do if someone is having a heart attack, and how to help someone who is choking.

All of our BLS/CPR and AED training courses are accredited by the Irish Heart Foundation and all our trainers are certified under the most recent American Heart Association guidelines. All course material is included in the price as are the individual certificates. This includes BLS/CPR and AED training which is taught over a 4 hour period. There is plenty of time to address participants’ concerns and questions.

6 - 12 students - €700.00

12 - 18 students - €900.00

18+ students - €1300.00

Note: In order to validate the course and comply with Irish Heart Foundation guidelines there must be one Instructor per six students. The more people to train the more instructors are required and thus the cost increases.

Occupational First Aid Training

The Occupational First Aid Course is a legal requirement for Occupational First Aiders in Ireland. First Response Training is approved by the Health & Safety Authority to train Occupational First Aid providers in accordance with regulations on best practice. Employees can be trained in accident prevention and Occupational First Aid by our instructors. The course covers assessment of patients, action at emergencies, medical conditions & trauma injuries, CPR, poisoning, health & safety law and more. HSA, OFAAA and FETAC Registered Occupational First Aid Instructors teach & examine this course.

Manual Handling/Safe Lifting Training

Manual Handling training teaches students the correct techniques for safe lifting and moving of both inanimate objects and patients. Correct use of equipment such as stretchers, carry-chairs etc. is also covered. The anatomy of the spine, and proper back care are covered in the theoretical component of this training course.

First Responder Training

Advanced injuries and conditions, treatments and equipment are covered in this course, offered to members who wish to progress to a more advanced standard of patient care. Airway management, AED operation, triage, resuscitation, obstetrics, pharmacology, pain management and more are covered in this course, which has a large emphasis on practical skills.
