Services And Caregivers


C ompanions
Provides assistance with the following:
• Transportation to and from appointments – in caregiver car $.55 per mile additional charge
• Accompany to restaurants, events, entertainment. Client is responsible for meals and/or admission
• Accompany on walks, sightseeing, senior centers
• Play board games, cards
• Read magazines, newspapers, mail

H omemakers
Provides the same services as a companion in addition to assistance with the following:
• Light housekeeping including vacuuming and dusting
• Change bed linens and do laundry
• Kitchen and bathroom maintenance
• Meal planning and preparation
• Grocery shopping

P ersonal Care Attendants
Provides the same services as a homemaker in addition to assistance with the following:
• Assist with bathing
• Assist with toileting
• Assist with hair care
• Assist with skin care
• Assist with medication reminders
• Incontinence care
A physician must deem the client chronic and stable.

Live-In Homemaker/Companion and/or Personal Care Attendant
Our Live-In staff will perform the same assistance as our hourly caregivers. A Live-In caregiver must be able to have adequate sleep during the night. If a caregiver needs to be awake more than once during the night then hourly care may be appropriate. It will be the client’s responsibility to provide suitable living quarters and three meals per day for the caregiver.

A dditional Services
Peapod grocery shopping, Medication Management, Dietary and Geriatric Care Management are available at an additional charge.

*Note: Holiday rates will be at time and a half for the following dates: New Years Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day

**Note: Rates are based on one client requiring care. Two client rates are available upon request.

Lighthouse Home Care is very selective in our hiring process. Only experienced caregivers become employees of our company. They must be caring and competent. A meticulous, national arrest record and criminal background check, a Department of Motor Vehicle history report, reference check, employment verification, CNA registry and OIG checks and drug test are completed on all potential employees. An in-depth interview is also conducted.

Because our caregivers are employees, the company is responsible for all payroll taxes, workers compensation and liability insurances and bonding. They must follow our Policies and Procedures and participate in ongoing in-service training.
