The pile is significantly smaller in diameter than a similar capacity CFA pile, as such there is less new material used in the construction of the pile and a minimal amount of concrete used in the pile forming process. This is becoming more important to clients who want to make as small an impact on the environment as possible.

Laren piling: Helical Screw Piles

Screw Piles are composite end-bearing/friction piles well suited for resistance to compression of tension loads, in poor soil conditions by transferring load to to high end bearing capacity helical plates. This system can include lifting brackets to enable settled buildings to be returned to their original line and level. It consists of a steel anchor with a 100 to 250mm grout column around the shaft above the helical plates.
