- Job Search Strategies
- Welfare To Work Incentives
- Social Welfare Entitlements relating to returning to work.
NB* (Guideline Information Only – For entitlements specific to your circumstances you must contact your local Employment Exchange)

All Our Offices are equipped with Touch Screen access to the FÁS National Vacancy & Course Database.
You can browse jobs and courses in your area and print the details. The database is updated regularly so it is important to keep a regular check in order to keep up-to-date.
Anyone can use this service!
The Gateway Service
The Local Employment Service is your Gateway to access FÁS Courses, Vacancies and other services.
The Gateway Service has been established to provide you with information on current employment vacancies through FÁS services. To avail of this service, you must be registered with either FÁS or the Local Employment Service.
Referrals to FÁS courses can only be made following an initial guidance interview with a LES Mediator or FÁS Employment Services Officer, and only then when the course is an identified requirement to progression to employment.
*** This is very important to note as, once referred to certain FÁS courses, you may be unable to avail of further FÁS Training for a period of two years.
If you are interested in training or further education, the LESN Staff can also help you to identify what types of courses are out there for you.
