Everything wooden you see here was created by Stephen including the floor, the dining table, side table and even the structural Douglas fir beams of the building! Stephen is equally happy to work on complete interior design projects as well as individual pieces of furniture.

This shaker inspired Ash table is made with laminated legs creating their curved form.

Close up of a kitchen island unit in Irish Oak showing the high quality finish and detail of the hand cut dove tail joints. Units such as these are made entirely of hard wood - no MDF here!

Beech Cabinet commissioned to house a music collection for one of Stephens clients. The Hexagonal detail of the corner posts was created to compliment the hexagonal room it was made for. This photo shows the details of various aspects of this unit.

A client of Stephens had a much loved Cedar tree on their estate. Unfortunately the tree was terminally ill and had to be felled. The clients wanted to use the wood to make a fitting piece by which they could remember the tree. Cedar is tradionally used in furniture to repell moths as its fragrent scent is a natural repellent. Stephen suggested this chest - it was a great success and not a moth in sight!

Fine wooden boxes to store your precious possessions. Made from the highest quality storm damaged Elm trees. Kiln dried by Stephen at his workshop.

Small side table in hand polished Elm, ideal for a hallway. Unique design so beautiful in its simplicity.

Comtemporary style coffee/console tables made from spalted local beech with walnut joint detail. Hand finished with tung oil and bees wax.

Rustic Elm coffee table showing the natural grain of the wood, finished with bees wax polish. Stephen is inspired by the natural grain and form of the wood, and often it is the timber that dictates the design of a piece such as this. Naturally these pieces are one offs, making them unique.

Sometimes Stephen is commissioned to make architectural items like this staircase. Pieces can be created to suit period house restorations. Stephen will meticulously research the details and design to make these pieces look authentic.

Two small side tables made in spalted Beech and Walnut. Stephen often experiments with combining contrasting timbers to great effect.
