The Jager family were first introduced to the Irish Palatine Association when they performed for participants of the 1994 IPA Tour of the Palatinate. Since then they have visited Ireland and performed in Rathkeale for the local community.

The Jagers, a family consisting of three generations, are a well-known folk group in the Palatinate area in Germany. They are renowned for having gathered a large repertoire of traditional Palatine folk songs. As well as performing all over the Palatinate they have appeared on both German television and radio.
