The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam (RMA), in conjunction with the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and the Netherlands Cultural Heritage Agency (RCE) is pleased to announce the master class 'Historical silverplating: art history, technology, science and conservation'.

This master class in technical art history will run from November
28-December 2, 2011 and is made possible with generous support from the Migelien Gerritzen foundation. The course will look at silver plating on post-medieval metal objects. The master class will consist of lectures as well as hands on practical sessions whereby the participants can make their own samples of silver plating.

A maximum of 10 participants can join in the practical part of the master class. More participants can join on the theoretical parts. A maximum of one person per institute can take part in this masterclass.

The fee for this masterclass will be Euro300, (coffee, tea, lunch provided, including farewell dinner and
materials)
