Certified ScrumMaster

Learn Scrum and become a Certified ScrumMaster by playing with Lego!

Geoff runs a very interactive and fun class in which his role is as much of a guide as it is a trainer. By allowing the attendees to experience Scrum in a fun yet structured way, participants will pull out the most important learning points to them and feedback shows that the learning from this class sticks with the participants longer.

Attendees to this class will learn:

  • Agile Values & Principles
  • What Scrum is and where it comes from
    • Overview of Scrum framework, meetings, artefacts etc.
  • When Scrum is applicable and when it is not
  • How to plan a Scrum project
  • How to execute a Scrum project
    • practice a Scrum project (with Lego)
  • How to track progress in a Scrum project
  • How to review a Scrum project
  • What the roles and responsibilities are in a Scrum team

This is an immersive course – participants will not just get the theory but will also get the experience of planning and executing a Scrum project within the course.
Upon successful completion of this course attendees will be registered as Certified ScrumMasters with the Scrum Alliance. This registration will last for two years

Who Should Attend

Anyone interested in starting a Scrum project or wishing to improve their current Scrum implementation. Naturally intended for those taking on the ScrumMaster role, it is equally useful for any Scrum team member.

Client testimonials for Certified ScrumMaster

I participated in one of Geoff’s CSM+ courses. Throughout my career I’ve seen a lot of instructors and I have to say that Geoff is the best I have ever met. The way the knowledge was presented made it interesting and the supporting exercises were very good!

I had the great pleasure of attending Geoff's CSM class in London in April 2007. I use what I learned in Geoff's class every day! In just 2 days of his CSM training, I was able to build a strong foundation of Scrum knowledge. The slides that Geoff sent out after the class help keep my team productive and on the right track. They’re a great reference for any new situations that might arise—in a year and a half of practicing Scrum, I haven’t come across a situation yet that Geoff hadn’t referred to in his training. It’s the most practical job training I’ve ever received!
