The Immigrant Council of Ireland’s (ICI) Information and Referral Service offers comprehensive and detailed information about a broad range of issues related to migrants’ rights and entitlements and the Irish immigration system.
Each year, the ICI deals with enquiries and requests for information and assistance related to immigration and integration issues from about 10,000 individuals and 250 organisations.
Since 2005, the Citizens Information Board has funded a dedicated telephone helpline to enable its nationwide network of Citizens Information Centres to contact the ICI directly. In this way, the ICI works with the centres’ staff and volunteers when responding to enquiries about immigration issues and provides updates on policy and procedural changes to the system.
