London, 22nd October 2009:

John Belchamber of Telefónica O2 UK has tonight been awarded the ‘Data Professional of the Year’ award at the 2009 Data Strategy Awards.  In their citation, the judges noted Mr. Belchamber’s implementation of Social Network Analysis technology within O2 marketing among his other achievements.  

O2 and Idiro also featured in the previous year’s Data Strategy Awards, where they jointly won not only first prize within their category, but also the Grand Prix award of the night.
