The Loretto Blitz

We go to the loretto blitz every year. We have won it every year for four years. This year we were going for our fifth but unlike the cork girls we did not succeed!

Our super goalie was Joanne Cotter. Our back line was Maeve Horgan, Kate O Donoghue and Laura O Keeffe. The mids were Molly Kennedy and Rachel Carey. Our forwards were Sheila Connolly, Brenda Barry and Avril Heffernan. Our subs were Joni Hedrick, Ellen Roche and Sharon O Leary. Our first match was against Presentation. We lost that match.

The score was 2-3 to 1-1. Molly got a goal and Sheila got a point. For our second match we played Rathcormac. That one was really close. It even went into extra time. But then they got a point so we lost that one too. The score was 1-3 to 1-2. Rachel scored 1-1 and Brenda scored a point. We got into the C final and played Grange. Unfortunately we lost that too!!!!! The score was 3-3 to 1-3. Brenda, Sheila and Rachel all scored a point and Molly scored a goal. We may not have won but it was a great day out!
