This course is intended to give an overview of communication at work. You will learn about how communication works, how it can break down, and how you can improve the likelihood that you can be more effective in your interactions at work. The two most important pieces of effective communication are listening and explaining yourself. You will learn a great deal more about both of these skills, and how to apply them at work. After you finish this course, you will be able to: Describe behavior that enhances communication. Describe behavior that detracts from effective communication. Demonstrate concrete techniques to communicate effectively. Summarize the impact of communication style on the workplace environment.
