Clean Energy from Waste is now possible thanks to a proven and certified new technology that enables any carbon based waste/biomass product to be converted into a synthetic gas (syngas) that can be utilised in a variety of applications, depending on the clients requirements. Such end uses include combined heat and power using a gas engine and direct firing in a boiler.
The process is an advanced, ultra-high temperature form of gasification. This modular system, which is highly adaptable due to its simple design, can be co-located at the source of waste generation and thus reduces costs and risks associated with transporting waste. Extremely high extraction of the potential energy from waste, combined with minimal emissions which surpass even the most stringent regulations, are just some of the benefits. It has been perfected over the last 15 years in Switzerland and Germany. The first commercial plant is running in Germany on a feedstock derived from municipal waste, and Frontline is delighted to bring this new system to the UK & Ireland.
