Our Noise at Work Risk Assessments start with free consultation when we will discuss your particular work process and take account of employee numbers and any unique noise factors specific to your individual requirements. A pre-assessment site meeting and site visit may be necessary in order to ascertain the particular manufacturing processes involved, measurement positions and time required on site.
Our surveys are undertaken by a competent person and would typically comprise the following.
- Firstly determine the basic production areas, shift patterns, number of Employees
Exposed and current hearing protection criteria.
- Undertake sufficient noise measurements to produce a noise map of each
- Take noise measurements at the operators ear position in each production area and
calculate Daily Exposure levels.
- Take a frequency band analysis at various positions in order to identify the
effectiveness of existing hearing protection.
Report findings in line with the requirements of The Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 Chapter 1 of Part 5:
