Restaurants in Beara tend to be located in the larger towns of the Beara peninsula, such as Castletownbere and Glengarriff. Fresh food with an emphasis on local produce and seafood can be expected in many of the towns in the area. Friendly service is guaranteed. International menus may not be as popular here as in other parts of Cork but part of the attraction to Beara is the excellence of its traditional Irish food.

Restaurants in Bandon

Bandon restaurants are, admittedly, quite limited in choice. However, the Chapel Steps, the recommended local, is a unique and satisfying place in which to dine. Its interior is beautiful and is something you will never forget. Thankfully, the food is also equally excellent. If you find the choice a little narrow in Bandon why not travel to nearby Clonakilty or Innishannon. You are sure to find something, which meets your requirements there.

Bandon is the largest town in West Cork. The West Cork Heritage Centre and Timoleague Castle Gardens are popular attractions in this pleasant town.

Restaurants in Cork airport like those in its Dublin counterpart have grown in number and variety in recent years. Cork airport restaurants strive to meet the needs of the huge number of travelers it now caters to. The Food Market is the main food court in the complex. Other choices include a traditional Irish pub and a sports bar, both of which serve food. For good fast food try Subway or Starbucks. Another choice is the Cork Great Southern Hotel located within the airport complex .Cork airport is located south of the city. A busy airport, over three million visitors now pass through its doors every year.

Baltimore restaurants have one thing in common. No matter where you choose to dine, all of the restaurants in Baltimore have uniformly friendly service and comfortable, cosy surrounds. Most restaurants are conveniently located around the main square and choices include a French restaurant and a modern Irish with an Italian twist. If these don’t suit you can always try the restaurants in the two main hotels in the area. You are unlikely to be disappointed.

Situated in West Cork, Baltimore’s local points of interest include its ruined castle and nearby Cape Clear.

Rosscarbery restaurants are mainly located in the town’s square so all are conveniently close for comparison. Restaurants in Rosscarbery all have great, though very different, characters. For a restaurant with a fishing theme (and wonderful seafood) try O’Callaghan-Walshe, once voted Atmospheric Restaurant of the Year. Cafes are also available in the town as are other evening eateries such as the Avalon. The Celtic Ross Hotel also has fine eating facilities.

Located in West Cork, Rosscarbery is a small town with beautiful surrounds. It is especially popular in the summer months.

Restaurants in Youghal fail to fall into any one category. Youghal restaurants do not cater to any one particular budget or taste. Seafood is readily available and recommended in the area. However, other types of cuisine are also on offer. Hotel restaurants are popular in the area but you should book ahead in advance in order to guarantee a table. At the other end of the scale family-run restaurants are also common in this general location. Youghal is a lovely seaside town, situated in east Cork.

Douglas Restaurants

Restaurants in Douglas, Cork tend to marry good food with a laid-back attitude and friendly service. For something a little more formal try either Rochestown Park Hotel and Maryborough House Hotel both of which evoke images of eighteenth century manors. In the town itself, one can try award-winning restaurants such as Barrys, a Thai restaurant or another of the local favourites, Eco Douglas. There are others to try too so your choice is not limited.

Douglas is located not far from Cork City and is renowned for its golf facilities.

Restaurants in Mallow uniformly offer good food and excellent surroundings. Mallow restaurants come in many forms. A number of hotels are located in the area and one might choose to dine in one of these (prior booking is recommended). A restaurant is also located in the local inn. A stunning mansion is the location of the President’s Restaurant, where all the food is drawn from the estate. No matter where you choose, though, you are unlikely to be disappointed.

Situated in north Cork, Mallow has increased in popularity over the years. Mallow Castle dominates the town and is a good start for exploration.

Mitchelstown Restaurants

For a small town there are a surprising amount of restaurants in Mitchelstown. Most types of tastes will be catered for with cafes, an inn and hotel restaurants to choose from. It may not rival some of the larger towns in Cork for sheer numbers but you are bound to find an eatery, which will suit your needs here.

Mitchelstown is a small town in Cork, about thirty minutes from the city centre. It is also ideally located to take in other parts of Cork and Tipperary and a popular music festival is held annually.

Glanmire Restaurants

Restaurants in Glanmire are limited, as is expected of a small Cork town. Still, you may be surprised by the quality on offer. The Barn is the most recognised eatery in the vicinity and is renowned for its homely atmosphere and traditional cooking. If this is not to your taste you might like to try the Vienna Woods Hotel, which is a converted mansion situated in beautiful woodland.

Glanmire may be small but it does have a good range of shops and pubs. If it all gets too quiet for your liking Cork City is only four miles away.

Restaurants in Midleton are plentiful, there are at least ten quality places to choose from. Midleton restaurants vary hugely from one another in both location and menu. One may like to choose a farm-style restaurant such as Farmgate. Alternatively you can visit the Old Midleton Distillery with its Malt House Restaurant. The Midleton Park Hotel also has its own modern restaurant but there are plenty more to choose from in this town. If you still don’t find what you require Cork City is only twelve miles away.

Midleton is situated in East Cork.

Bantry restaurants are a good mix of seafood specialists and more general establishments. Restaurants in Bantry range from bistros to bars to hotel eateries. All benefit by their location in such a stunning area, whether for the fish caught locally or simply for the views. Summer is the peak time in Bantry and prior booking ahead is recommended in that time.

Blarney restaurants are a good mixture of the traditional and the modern. Restaurants in Blarney embrace traditional Irish cooking while blending them with the variety and style which modern diners demand. Kinsale restaurants are some of the most renowned in all of Ireland. Restaurants in Kinsale are second to none, in part due to their quality, in part due to their excellent location. There are over thirty establishments to choose from from hotel facilities to restaurants overlooking the harbour. It shouldn’t be surprising that an emphasis is placed on seafood in many establishments. French, Chinese and Italian cuisine can also be enjoyed in the area.

Kinsale is popular due to its beautiful harbour and laid-back atmosphere. For food connoisseurs it is especially popular with a Good Food Festival held every October.
