Miracle Oil From The Sea

Lyprinol® is considered to be one of the most popular natural supplements available today that actually helps to promote and maintain healthy joints. Lyprinol® is not a medicine or a drug of any kind. It is a pure natural marine oil comprising a rare combination of lipid groups and unique Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids vital for good health. Lyprinol® is derived from the New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel Perna Canaliculus. Unlike other food supplements which cause allergies and food intolerances, Lyprinol® has no side effects, and is extracted to remove all components of the mussel to ensure no allergic side effects, even for people who are allergic to shellfish. Lyprinol will also not interfere with any medication you may be taking and is even safe for children.

“Lyprinol is the most powerful marine oil available. It is far superior to conventional pharmaceuticals, vegetable – based omega -3 oils and fish oils” Dr Georges M. Halpern, M.D., PH.D,

History Of Lyprinol:

For a long time the native Maori people of New Zealand have included the New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel as a staple part in their diet. This unique mussel is known scientifically as 'Perna canaliculus'. For centuries, it has provided an excellent source of protein, vitamins, minerals and extremely valuable Omega-3 fatty acids. Maoris could be seen with shell-opening knives in their belts at Auckland’s seafood shops before dawn buying their mussels before going to work. Most mussel powders over the years have shown conflicting results in efficacy studies due to the oxidation of their non-polar lipids (Lyprinol) which is where their true activity lies. A patent was granted for the stabilisation of the mussel powder and also for the extraction process for Lyprinol®.

Lyprinol® is a unique patented marine lipid group comprising a unique combination of different non-polar lipid groups and Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids which are extracted from the New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel. (Perna Canaliculus) by way of a patanted supercritical fluid extraction process using liquidified CO2.

What is Lyprinol?

Lyprinol is a nutritional supplement.

Lyprinol is not a medicine, nor any form of prescribable medication and is therefore not intended to treat, cure or prevent disease.  It is a natural marine extract comprising a rare combination of lipid groups and unique Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Current research indicates that these Omega-3 fatty acids provide nutritional support against fatty acid imbalance.

This shellfish, eaten by the coastal Maoris as part of their diet, is found at the northern tip of New Zealand's south island. Here, in a region called the Marlborough Sounds, nourishing Pacific currents create the ideal environment for growing the mussel in pristine and uncontaminated waters. Lyprinol is stabilised and extracted via a gentle patented process.

Lyprinol is one of the best natural sources of Omega-3, due to additional lipids unique to the Green Lipped Mussel. It is like fish oil though only better (no fishy breath, upset stomachs and greasy stools).

Lyprinol is also much more effective than other oils:

  • 100 times more potent than EPA Max (fish oil)
  • 125 times more potent than original freeze dried mussel powder
  • 175 times more potent than evening primrose oil
  • 200 times more potent than Salmon Oil
  • 250 times more potent than Flax Oil
  • 300 times more potent than ordinary fish oil

Frequently asked Questions:

Is Lyprinol like other marine or fish oils?

No. Lyprinol is extracted from GLM, and contains a unique mix of omega-3 fatty acids. The patented processing of Lyprinol protects their activity. Lyprinol is 300 times more effective than, for example, ordinary fish oil.

Lyprinol like other GLM products?

No. The lipids in GLM are extremely sensitive to oxidation. Only Lyprinol has a special patented extraction process which protects their activity.

Is Lyprinol like other omega-3 products?

No. Lyprinol is 200-350 times more effective.

I am allergic to shellfish. Can I take Lyprinol?

Yes. Allergies respond to carbohydrate or proteins. The extraction process used in Lyprinol isolates only fats. Lyprinol is safe for people suffering from fish or shellfish allergies.

I am vegetarian (or Vegan). Can I take Lyprinol?

Lyprinol is a mix of fats extracted from mussels and encapsulated in a gelatin casing. This may cause concerns for vegetarians.

Is Lyprinol suitable for children?

Yes. Children as young as 3 can take it, even younger but take care and consult your doctor if in any doubt.

Why is Lyprinol "new improved"?

The Lyprinol capsules now have a thin coating of xylose. This ensures that they dissolve in the duodenum rather than (as previously) in the stomach. This prevents repeating.

How does Lyprinol differ from these other food sources of omega-3 fatty acids?

One of the main differences between Lyprinol and fish oils is the amount required to produce a significant effect. Compared to fish oil doses of 18g per day, Lyprinol has been shown to be effective at a dose of 1 to 2 capsules per day. This is equivalent to just 100mg of Lyprinol oil and 300mg of olive oil. This equals just 400mg of fat per day, compared to 18g per day, if you were to take fish oils.

Independent studies have compared Lyprinol to several foods high in omega-3 fatty acids. Regarding anti-inflammatory properties and joint swelling, Lyprinol has been shown to be:

  • 100 times more potent than EPA Max (fish oil)
  • 125 times more potent than orginal freeze dried mussel powder
  • 175 times more potent than evening primrose oil
  • 200 times more potent than Salmon Oil
  • 250 times more potent than Flax Oil
  • 300 times more potent than ordinary fish oil

Lyprinol is one of the best natural sources of omega-3 in the diet, because it contains additional lipids, unique to the Green Lipped Mussel - its like fish oil but much better.

Does Lyprinol have the same side effects as fish oil supplements?

No, Lyprinol has none of the side effects associated with fish oils.

Fish oil supplements are dietary supplements that contain oil from cold water fish such as mackerel, salmon, black cod, albacore tuna, sardines, and herring. The active ingredients in fish oil supplements are essential fatty acids known as omega-3 fatty acids. They typically include eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

Common side effects of fish oil supplements include:

  • fishy breath
  • upset stomach
  • greasy stools

Serious side effects include an increase in the harmful form of LDL cholesterol, large doses of fish oil supplements needed to achieve the potency of lyprinol may also cause weight gain and decrease the absorption of vitamins A, E, D, and K from the stomach. If you have diabetes, use caution when taking fish oil supplements, they are reported to increase blood sugar. Taking large amounts of fish oils over a long period of time may increase the risk of mild bleeding resulting in nosebleeds and bruising.

Lyprinol is not associated with any of the side effects common to cod liver oils.

How is Lyprinol different to cod liver oil?

Cod liver oil is not suitable for people with asthma, diabetes, a blood clotting disorder, or if you are taking Warfarin or other blood thinning medicines. If you are considering taking cod liver oil for any of the above conditions it would be advisable to seek the advice of your doctor before taking cod liver oil products.

It's also not a good idea to use cod liver oil as a fish oil supplement because it contains very high levels of vitamin A. High doses of vitamin A can cause headache, dry skin, itching, and liver damage.

Lyprinol can be taken by everybody, although we recommend that pregnant women and very young children should only use Lyprinol after consultation with a doctor or health visitor.

What are the advantages of Lyprinol over green lipped mussel powders?

Lyprinol has many advantages over green lipped mussel powders including:

  • Mussel powders contain proteins, which can cause allergic reactions in some people. Since Lyprinol is an oil all the proteins have been removed
  • Mussel powders contain sea salt, which can be a problem for people needing to stay on a low salt diet. Lyprinol contains no sea salts
  • Because Lyprinol is a potent concentrate, the dose rate is far lower and the capsules are easier to take.
  • The unpleasant odours associated with encapsulated mussel powders have been removed.

Once the host cells are infected, the specific defense of the body takes a few days to modify to the specific task, this is why many, even lighter colds, take more than a week to ease off. Research has shown that certain substances in Elderberry called Flavonoids seem to have a Viro-static effect and thus can restrict the rate of multiplication of the viruses in the cells.
