Orthotics are effective in dealing with a number of conditions. For obvious reasons most people are prescribed insoles for long standing foot conditions or sports orthotics for road runners, triathletes, footballers and more. Low back pain – Lumbago Gluteal / Upper back pain – Piriformis syndrome Knee Pain – Patellofemoral syndrome Pain front or side of shin – Shin splints Lower Calf Pain – Achilles tendonitis Heel Pain – Plantar fasciitis Pain across Ball of Foot – Metatarsalgia Pain between 3rd & 4th Toes – Mortons neuroma Flat feet, high arches, heel spurs or ongoing foot pain. Sound familiar? Many people with flat feet, high arches or bony spurs require corrective insoles for their footwear. Of course orthotics are not just beneficial for these conditions. Clients with chronic knee and low back pain cannot believe the benefit something so simple as a customised insole has had on their lifestyle.
