Learn the fine tradition of barbering

This course is suitable for students who wish to begin a career in Barbering and will show you how to use traditional and modern techniques of barbering to help you produce quick and effective results.

The course covers:

  • clipper over comb
  • scissor over comb
  • blending in
  • thinning
  • texturising
  • finishing the hairline
  • correct use of comb, clipper, scissors and razor.

Also, an overview of hygiene procedures and methods will be covered.

The course will be carried out on an intimate basis; classes no larger than 6 trainees are envisaged, giving maximum concentration on our students.

An optional element of the course will be a day on the shop floor where you can see all you have been taught, carried out in practice.

This 10 week course will consist of 2 hours per night, once a week from 7pm to 9pm.

Thefinal part of the course will be an exam, carried out by a ProfessionalBarber who is unconnected to The Waldorf and will give an independentassessment of the trainee’s ability.

On successful completion of this test, a certificate of competency will be awarded.

A list of tools and equipment which will be essential in completing the course will be provided on enrollment.

In addition to the above, we are also committed to offering ongoing advice and tips to enable trainees who wish begin their own business, to do so successfully.

Wefeel that if you are trained by The Waldorf, you will receive all thatis required to be successful, whether as a salon owner or indeed seeking employment in the barbering profession.
