Dragon Driver sole intention is to get you through your driving test in the safest possible time. We are only interested in results and success for our students. So Intensive lessons will be  demanding on both the student and the instructor, as little room is given for mistakes. There is great focus on high standards.  All courses can be tailored to 1, 1.5 or 2 hour lessons to suit the students take up of the programme. The one hour lesson is supported with an initial teaching aid.

Dragon Driver specialises in intensive driving courses. The Intensive Course focuses on pin-pointing the requirements of the test, particularly observation and hazard perception.

These courses are particularly good for experienced learner  drivers or those committed to passing their test quickly. In addition to the teaching aids supplied with standard lessons, students receive extra visual aids, and a free DVD Visual Guide to passing your test. Students are encouraged to study this material at home to get results as swiftly as possible.

The number of lessons required varies on an individual student basis and their level of experience, but typically a novice driver would be expected to complete the course in 15 hours, which would include 3 hours of pretest in those 15 hours.

During the the first two hours the core visual aids are explained. If an accompanied driver is available he/she is invited to sit in on lessons 4 and 5, free of charge. The rest of the course is tailored to the particular students needs.

  • Use of mirrors and giving all types of signals
  • Meeting, overtaking and clearance of all other road users
  • Judgement of speed
  • Stopping distances in different weather conditions

Your charge time starts for the lesson when the instructor arrives at the agreed collection point at the commencement of the agreed time of the appiontment or when you are sitting in the car, if earlier than the agreed time. 110 minute instructional lesson on the test routes supported with diagrams showings you what is expected of you on the test routes. 10 Minute demonstration by the driving instructor showing how the RSA examiner would like you to drive. 20 minute mock Test as conducted by the RSA examiner and how he would speak to you. 20 Minute assessment of present standard.

During this lesson, your ADI should make sure that you can regulate and maintain good control over the speed of your vehicle in lower risk driving situations, such as quiet residential areas, quiet local and rural roads. During this lesson your ADI should make sure that you use key observational techniques in low-risk driving situations such as in quiet residential areas.


45 Per Hour Deal | Dragon School of Motoring

The minimum required lessons for an experienced driver are 10 hours prepaid lessons and 15 prepaid hours for a novice/beginner. If you fail the test you are are refunded your test fee or you are given 4 hours of free driving lessons.
