Marital Mediation

Mediation facilitates couples to negotiate the ending of their relationship. If they have children, it facilitates them to continue their relationship as parents. The mediator works with the couple and facilitates them to make a plan that allows them end their relationship in a way that is dignified and keeps them in control of their futures. Concrete plans are made that are drawn up into an Agreement by the mediator which may then be drawn up into a legal document, a Separation Agreement or a Divorce Decree.

The process:

One of the couple contacts CRMC and a mediator discusses the mediation process with them. The mediator asks that their partner telephones also. When the second partner has contacted the mediator, has had a similar discussion about mediation and indicated that they are willing to enter mediation, the mediator offers the couple an appointment.
