Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS)

Under the Construction Regulations 2006, clients who procure or undertake construction work must appoint a Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage (PSCS).  Business Safety have extensive experience and knowledge in this area and can take on the full PSCS role or can act as PSCS coordinator to others who are appointed as PSCS.

Duties of the PSCS include:
- co-ordinate hazard identification, elimination and risk reduction during construction;

  • - develop the construction stage Safety and Health Plan
  • - co-ordinate the implementation of the construction regulations by contractors
  • - organise co-operation between contractors
  • - co-ordinate the reporting of accidents to the Authority
  • - notify the Authority in respect of notifiable sites
  • - provide information to the site safety representative
  • - co-ordinate the checking of safe working procedures
  • - co-ordinate requirements for Safe Pass and a Construction Skills cards
  • - provide all necessary safety file information to the PSDP
  • - monitor the compliance of contractors and others
