Services In addition to consultation for general medical problems, we also provide the following services. Many require additional time, so it is important to inform reception at the time of booking if you are requesting these services.

Childhood vaccination
We offer vaccination of infants in accordance with the Childhood Immunisation SchemeTravel vaccination
Advice regarding foreign travel and recommended vaccination. Emphasis is placed on general advice for the international traveller, with supply of the vaccines. The practice is registered to give Yellow fever vaccination. Influenza vaccination
Offered in the winter months to patients at riskMinor surgery
Removal of selected skin lesions and stitching and treatment of skin wounds. Cryotherapy
This involves freezing certain types of skin problems such as verruca and warts.Visiting asthma nurse
The asthma nurse visits the surgery at regular intervals, to provide assistance in management of asthma for patients of the practice. Appointments are necessary.Cervical smear screening
This can be done by the nurse or doctor, depending on patient’s choice.The practice is registered with the Irish Cervical Screning Programme, which can provide free smear to women in the target group.Contraception advice
Includes advice on the pill, injectable, implant and ring contraception, Intra-uterine devices and other contracpeitve and sterilisation methods. Maternity care
Combined antenatal care provided free to patients registered with us under the mother and child scheme Check-ups for Men and WomenWe offer a choice of types of check up. As at reception for further details.1. Cardio-vascular risk assessment (aims to reduce risk of heart disease)2. Annual Medical Check up.
Involves completion of a questionaire, examination, blood tests, (including prostate assessment for men aged over 50), and ECG. 3. Well Woman Check
Includes advice regarding gynaecological symptoms, menopause, osteoporosis and breast disease.4. Check ups for certain illness.
We recommend regular check ups for certain conditions such as blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and asthma.
