Cellix provides a range of different biochips, pumping solutions and analysis software which enable researchers to accurately mimic shear stress / shear flow rates found in vivo.  

Our solutions can be used to measure cell rolling, adhesion, migration and transmigration to antibody-coated or endothelial cell-cultured microcapillaries, producing IC50 curves under shear stress conditions mimicking microcapillary, venous or arterial physiological flow.  Data is more physiologically relevant resulting in a truly translational tool for drug discovery and applied cell biology.

Vena8 Fluoro

As cells flow through the microcapillary of the Vena8 Fluoro+™ biochip, the cell surface receptors may interact with adhesion molecules or ligands which coat the microcapillary walls. The Vena8 Fluoro+™ biochip is ideal for studying cell receptor-ligand interaction and is compatible with confocal microscopy.



Vena8 Fluoro+TM and Vena8TM: Easy to coat microcapillaries with standard pipette with a range of different adhesion molecules including VCAM, ICAM, MAdCAM, fibronectin, vWF, collagen, fibrinogen etc. Suitable for a wide range of cell suspensions including T-cells, monocytes, pbmcs, neutrophils, eosinophils, platelets and whole blood.


Vena8 Endothelial

As cells flow through the microcapillary of the Vena8 Endothelial+™ biochip, the cell surface receptors may interact with the endothelial cell monolayer which coats the microcapillary walls. Adhesion of THP-1 monocytes at shear stress of 0.5 dyne/cm2 to primary HUVEC cultured in microcapillary. Endothelial cells are easily seeded and cultured inside the microcapillaries of the biochip.
