Designed and facilitated of off-site weekend strategic-planning workshop for multi-national client in the IT sector. In a post-acquisition context, the objective was to create relationships and to encourage cross-functional co-operation and business development between executive teams from geographically dispersed business units. A challenging and stimulating three days ended with a lively inter-company debate - Cross-selling is the only way to achieve our budgets! Each participant had a role. The Duchess of Queensbury rules were strictly applied!

Developed a strategic marketing plan for a health-sector client for their new educational centre. The client required that their new facility would become self-funding within 12 months of opening. Together, we succeeded in this endeavour.

Recently brought 12 of Ireland’s most senior HR directors together in a think-tank forum to explore and discuss best practice initiatives to guide recovery from the economic and employment recession. This was a CIPD Ireland sponsored initiative.

Guided policy development for CIPD in Ireland. This included presentations to the Joint Oireachtas Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

Part of a cross-sectoral team which designed and managed a dynamic research project in collaboration with the National Centre for Partnership and Performance (NCPP). The purpose was to identify and disseminate best-practice change management and communications practices within public and private sector organisations.

Researched and developed policy for CIPD fact-sheets on The Employment Psychological Contract and Enhancing Employee Discretionary Contribution.

Regular columnist with The Irish Times, writing on issues concerning people management practice and public sector reform.

Worked in collaboration with Deloitte Consulting (Human Capital) to develop surveys and publish briefings on current employment and economic trends half-yearly reports.
