The GVI Academy works closely with many organisations that provide essential and much needed health services in the community. Organisations vary, from those that provide valuable support and advice to members of the community, raising awareness within the wider community of pressing health issues, fundraising in order to undertake vital research to promoting the benefits of all round good health. Those with an interest in Health Care can gain valuable experience in a variety of areas with internships in the health care field. The focuses of internships vary and may include:
Mental HealthGain valuable experience in organisations focusing on mental health issues in the community. Experience may include working within organisations that provide support for suffers and their families, advocacy groups and organisations providing awareness and educational services to the wider community.
NutritionWork with organisations promoting the benefits of good nutrition for good health. This may include working with organisations providing educational services or practical services such as providing food to those in need.
Community HealthGain experience in community health services by interning with organisations who provide educational services and advice promoting good health through nutrition, exercise and community sport.
